This tour is certainly one of the most beautiful in Central Switzerland.
It has everything that defines a high alpine tour: glaciers, climbing, and breathtaking views!
After a cozy night in the Spannort hut, we ascend steeply to the Schlossberg gap. As the sun slowly rises, we step onto the glacier. Roped up and equipped with crampons, we hike across the eternal ice to the starting point where the climbing begins.
Scrambling over simple steep sections, we climb to the summit at a difficulty level of grade III.
The view over Engelberg is only better from a paraglider...

Private Tour – Spannort Ascent
The high alpine tour to the beautifully shaped Spannort is truly a highlight.
With a local mountain guide, you can enjoy this unforgettable experience in a relaxed and safe setting.
Requirements
Good physical condition; suitable for experienced mountain hikers. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are essential in scrambling terrain. You must be capable of ascending and descending 1,500 vertical meters.

Day 1
Independent hike to the Spannort Hut
Around 5:30 PM: Welcome aperitif with your mountain guide
Tour planning and gear check
Shared dinner at the hut
Day 2
Breakfast
Ascent to the summit
Summit cheer (“Gipfel Juichz”)
Descent and lunch at the hut
Optional independent descent to Engelberg

The price includes full planning and guiding by a certified mountain guide.
Not included:
Your overnight stay at the hut

Little Patagonia in Engelberg
The elegantly shaped rock pyramids rise proudly above Engelberg, radiating both adventure and grace. At first glance, the ascent appears to be a demanding alpine tour with steep climbing. But looks can be deceiving — this is an excellent high alpine tour suitable for both beginners and experienced mountaineers.
