Multipitch Climbing Course Advanced
Fascinating rock faces and breathtaking landscapes make every climber’s heart beat faster. Taking on a multi-pitch climb requires skill and confidence, but it is also one of the most rewarding experiences in climbing. In this course, we will teach you the essential techniques to climb bolted multi-pitch routes independently.
This course differs from the MSL Basic Course! It goes deeper into the subject and is designed for climbers who already have outdoor climbing experience.
The following topics will be covered in the course:
Equipment knowledge, knot techniques, belaying techniques, anchor building, rappelling, use of mobile protection devices, climbing techniques for lead and second climbers, tour planning, and handling worst-case scenarios.

Important Infos
What is the difference compared to the MSL Basic Course (1 day)?
The 2-day course provides a deeper insight into the art of multi-pitch climbing (MSL). Therefore, you should already have outdoor climbing experience and feel comfortable lead climbing up to 5c.
Where do we stay overnight?
That’s up to you! The best options are a hotel, hostel, or campsite in Engelberg.
When do you decide whether the course will take place due to the weather?
We need dry rock to run the course. We will contact you 2-3 days before the course to provide an update. If the weather forecast is unstable, we may need to make a last-minute decision.
What happens in bad weather, e.g., rain all day?
If the weather is bad, the course will either be held at an alternative location in Central Switzerland (Engelberg Valley, Sisikon, Uri) or we will offer you a rescheduled date.
What if I can’t attend any of the rescheduled dates due to bad weather?
If none of the proposed alternative dates work for you, you will receive a full refund. To process the refund, we need your IBAN number, account holder name, and postal code/city. Please send this information via email.
